The White Sands Resort - Situated amidst an archipelago of over 1100 coral fringed islands, and tucked into South Ari Atoll, lies the picturesque island of Dhidhoofinolhu and the White Sands Resort and Spa. The resort is 104 km from Male International Airport and is a 30 minute journey by seaplane offering breathtaking views of the islands and atolls that comprise the Maldives.
The resort consists of 141 rooms with various styles of accommodation designed to suit all guests and all budgets. The Water Village is connected to the main island by a private wooden jetty. Connected to the main island by a wodden jetty, these timber rooms are reminiscent of traditional Maldivian houseboats on stilts and are beautifully appointed, providing private decks with direct access into the crystal clear lagoon. The Island Village houses a selection of thatched Island Village Guest rooms and beach cottages nestled amongst the tropical gardens. Located close to the beach, these properties are single storey and compliment the local environment.

This is the place to meet for activity nights, such as crab racing and traditional Boduberu, there is also a pizza corner where you can enjoy freshly oven baked pizzas. Sandhuvari - International and local: For a more intimate dining experience, treat your loved one to a private moonlit dinner for two on the beach, with only the sound of the ocean and the twinkling stars to accompany you on this romantic evening. Rectreation & Activities:The White Sands Resort offers an extensive range of activities and excursions. The Dolphin Watersports Centre provides equipment and tuition for windsurfing, catamaran sailing, canoeing, water skiing, pedalos, fun tubes and banana rides.
The White Sands Resort and Spa is close to some of the best diving sites in the Maldives and houses a fantastic 5 star PADI Dive Centre with a highly skilled, multi-lingual team of professionals. The resort also has a comprehensive Spa facility on the beachfront that offer Spa body treatments, massages and reflexology.
Many people come to the Maldives for snorkelling and the resort organises daily snorkelling trips to the house reef, as well as lengthier snorkel safari's. Other sports activities include tennis, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, billiards and football .
Some of the excursions offered by the resort include trips to the cultural centre, night fishing trips, big game fishing and barbeques. The resort has an internet cafe, gift shops, and a medical centre.
